New stuff to report

I've been lax on writing! I successfully accomplished knitting while riding on a mechanical bull this summer. Granted, the man wasn't having it go super fast to whip me off so that I would hurt myself or damage the equipment. But still! It has been done. I also knit in the dunk tank again (no new pictures)

I should have gotten photos of me knitting while IN a waterfall this summer considering I worked at Gooseberry Falls State Park all summer but it just didn't work out. Either the water was flowing too hard, or the weather wasn't right, or I was too busy.

I still have the goal of knitting while jumping on a trampoline and it almost happened this fall but we just didn't get the chance to get over to a friend's house who had a trampoline. It WILL happen. Naturally, I'm still knitting in the more basic "weird" locations like restaurants, movie theaters, doctor's office, waiting in line, etc. But those aren't really worth photos except in rare cases.

On a recycled crafting front, last week I got busy making new cloth gift bags after not being able to make them for about two years. I had severely depleted my supply so it was nice to have more to work with for wrapping presents. I also went on a envelope spree the month previous. I had gotten a bunch cut and folded quite a while ago but hadn't gotten them glued. Got those finished and then moved on to cutting and folding a whole bunch more. I really need to write some letters to my penpals so I can use some of them again.

Its been a long time

Wow...I knew it had been a while since I posted. Didn't realize how long until I looked today, after talking to someone about the photos.

I have done some of the ones on my list from 2013, and if I can get the computer to cooperate I'll share the pictures. I did knit in bee gear, while on roller skates (although the lighting was poor so picture is crummy) and I've done ice skates. I've also done a dunk tank for real, rather than just while sitting on the dunk tank seat. Got some pretty sweet pictures too. Also last fall I got some fun pictures of others with my knitting, including sword fighting with someone and having someone juggle it. In general I haven't been knitting as much due to assorted wrist and arm pain but I like getting the fun photos when I get the chance.

I'm having trouble finding some of the photos I wanted so this will have to suffice for now.

What's new and what's (hopefully) coming

I got to knit in a dunk tank a couple weeks ago, thought I should share that one.

And in a few weeks I have a couple plans. I will be at Nickle Dickle Days in Waconia. In past years they have had a mechanical bull. I have been wanting to get a picture of me knitting on one of those but didn't want to fork over the money. Right now my goal is to do so. I will also be going to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and would love to do the bungee trampoline while knitting (if they will let me).

I am not alone

I already knew I wasn't the only one who liked to knit in strange places or situations....but on the off chance that you've found the blog I'd really like to share some of the others I've found.

Calvin, of Nerdy Needles Knitting, on Space Mountain.
Susie Hewer, who has a world record for longest scarf knit while running a marathon

Not sure who this is, but man, I wish I would have the guts to sky dive, much less to knit while doing it. Maybe some day?

this is one thing I've got on my list...its mostly a matter of obtaining use of a trampoline that has been holding me back. Some day, it WILL happen.

I've got lots more stuff pinned on pinterest and would love to find more pictures to share. If you have any pictures of you knitting, crocheting, spinning or otherwise crafting in a strange place, please share it with me?

World Wide Knit in Public Day

Ok, so perhaps my extreme knitting was not quite as epic of an experience as I hoped for....but I did have an enjoyable day and got some fun photographers. Would have been nice if I could have had someone more experienced with my little camera around because some of the photos are so-so....but I had a blast and I think the people seeing me got a kick out of it too.

Warmed up with knitting and walking. No photos, because that's easy peasey. My first real deal of the day was knitting on a paddleboard. Kneeling was no biggie...but standing was an interesting matter....your legs are making constant, tiny adjustments and by the time I got back off, my legs were tired!

I got some yoga and obstacle course time in....

Had a dickens of a time finding the big jump ropes but I did find them at the end of the day, and was able to prove that YES, I can jump rope and knit at the same time. Not sure how many stitches I did...but I did them. And I didn't hurt myself.

I do have a couple more photos to share but I will post them at another time. I hope you enjoyed this...and if you have suggestions of what else I should do while knitting, please let me know!

no spoilers

I don't want to provide spoilers to all that I am going to be trying to do this week. Just suffice to say that there is an event that happens to coincide with World Wide Knit in Public Day....so I plan to be a busy extreme knitter on Saturday.

In the meantime, I'd like to ask you...where would you like to see me knitting? Or what should I try to do at the same time as I'm knitting?

Do you have a favorite extreme knitting photo, either of mine or others? If you say you've never seen others, check out my board on pinterest. I'm trying to make some sweet pictures readily accessible there.
